Map: #239

Question

Given os-sdlc's spec and ticket templates (plugins/os-sdlc/reference/spec-and-ticket-layer.md) are the adopted authority, where does the canonical copy live so os-backlog, os-sdlc, and wayfinder-style efforts all reference one source without duplication? What does os-backlog's lighter capture tier look like relative to them?

Resolution

  • Canonical home: plugins/os-backlog/references/templates/spec.md, ticket.md, capture.md. os-sdlc's spec-and-ticket-layer.md keeps its narrative but links to these instead of inlining them; wayfinder-style efforts reference the same source. Deciding reason: dependency direction is already fixed — os-sdlc consumes os-backlog (ADR-0037) — and os-backlog is the ambient always-installed plugin, while os-sdlc is situational.
  • Capture tier: minimal template — title + ## Context (what surfaced it; the perishable in-the-moment detail) + optional source links/paths. No acceptance criteria, no slice — refine adds structure at intent-to-work (#240). /os-backlog:capture generates this body. Rejected: fully free-form (refine can't reconstruct lost context) and a ticket-template stub (empty-section noise on resting captures).
